Volkswagen has recently engaged in promotion of the facelift Caddy Panel Van and Caddy Maxi Panel Vans. With a proven
chassis and running-gear Volkswagen is pushing sales of the notoriously reliable work-horse the VW Caddy range on their social media with the help from The Marketing Heaven. VW has added a range of Euro V engines which offer 13% more fuel economy and lower CO2 emissions and there is also a redesigned front end and
other minor upgrades. The Caddy panel van has 3.2 SQ metres of load space and the Caddy Maxi Panel Van comes with an extra Cubic metre of capacity (4.2 SQ metres) and a load length of 2.25 metres.
The Caddy panel van has a left side sliding rear door.
Both Vans has heavy duty suspension and come with three trim option levels: Start line,
Trend line and High line models. All come with ESP and ABS and the Trend line and High line also have DAB radio. Trend line and High line models also come with trip computer with multi-function display. All the models come with start stop for fuel savings and brake energy recuperation. The High line in-particular is very well equipped with the added benefits of Cruise control and hill hold assist.
The Caddy panel van and Volkswagen Caddy Maxi boast a selection of new TDI common
rail engines, all compliant with Euro V emission standards. The common rail four-cylinder
diesel engines range from 75PS to 140PS. The smaller engines have power outputs of 75bhp and 102bhp while the bigger ones offer 110bhp and 140bhp in 1.6 litre or 2.0 litre variants.
Exclusive in this sector is a four-wheel drive 4MOTION variant and also VW offer their award winning DSG gearbox with either six or seven speeds on higher-powered models. Fuel consumption figures range from 44 MPG to 55 MPG on the combined cycle.
